SBE Chapter 56 Meeting Minutes of March 26, 2013

Chapter Chairman Roger Newton called the meeting to order and asked everyone to introduce themselves.
- Approval of Meeting Minutes:
Approval of Minutes as posted on the Chapter 56 website was called for, motion was requested, and motion was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
- Treasurers Report:
On October 30th the balance in the SBE/56 checking account was $4,211.12 There have been no credits or debits this past month. The checking account balance as of March 26th is $4,211.12.

- Old Business:
- It is that time of year again, SBE Chapter 56 Elections. If you are interested in volunteering your time as a committee member or If you are interested in serving as an Officer for the next year, please contact Roger Newton at KOED, Dale Vennes at KJRH or Darin Hall at KOTV. This Chapter needs your support! An election committee of Dale Vennes and Roger Herring will meet shortly after the meeting to confirm the volunteers for chapter office for 2013. Chapter members notification should go out soon so that voting may occur at the April meeting of the chapter.
- OAB SBE Engineering Conference is April 18-19, 2013 at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, OK. The Exhibit Hall will be full of Vendors this year with a Keynote Luncheon by Roy Firestone. The SBE Conference will include training for the CBNE Certification that may be taken at the end of the day. Any interested partied for the Certification. Contact Roger Newton at OETA for more information. For more information about the OAB/SBE Conference go to www.oabok.org/Conventions The April Meeting of SBE Chapter 56 will occur at the OAB/SBE Engineering Conference at the FREE Breakfast on Friday April 19, 2013 at 8am when we also vote for the 2013 officers.
- New Business:
- OAB SBE Engineering Conference is able to provide testing for applicants and those that meet the CBNE certification requirements. A motion was made, seconded and voice vote approved that the first 10 passing test certifications will receive a rebate from Chapter 56 for $50.00 each to offset the cost of the test. The deadline for the applications is April 1, 2013 and must process the application thru SBE National office.
- Gerald Weaver picked up the tab for the Feb. meeting lunch costs and a motion was made, seconded, and voice vote approved to reimburse him the cost for lunch.
- Adjournment:
Chapter Chairman Roger Newton asked for a motion to adjourn, motion was made, seconded, approved by voice vote.

The Program was provided by Jon Ulfsrud of Harris Broadcast on Video and Audio Networking and connecting facilities over IP Networks.
